If you’re into comics and related entertainment, you may be interested in attending Comic Con Mania at Chester Racecourse this Saturday.
Monopoly Events organises a series of large Comic Con events around the country, but it developed the Comic Con Mania show concept to reach more people through a series of smaller events. The company’s website says about them:
“These shows will offer the same fan friendly, geektastic fun at our bigger shows. Each event will feature a cosplay competition and parade, retro and current gaming, a selection of our favourite traders and plenty of awesome set builds and props from the TV series and movies you love…”
It adds that attendees will experience much of what fans have come to expect from the larger shows from Monopoly Events, although there will be some subtle changes. For example, the number of celebrity guests won’t be on the same scale, although fans can expect four to six to be at each event. With it being on a smaller scale than the main Comic Con events, tickets are also priced more cheaply at £10 for adult admission.
Comic Con Mania will take place between 11 am and 5 pm on Saturday, July 6 at Chester Racecourse, which can be found on New Crane Street. Events like this contribute to Chester’s appeal as a study destination, and you too could be in the thick of it thanks to the availability of quality student accommodation in Chester near the city centre.
