Delamere Forest to host concert series

If you’re stuck for something to do mid-June, you could do worse than head 12 miles out of Chester to one of the county’s most cherished forests, where a four-day music event will be taking place with world-class acts.

The Forest Live series of events are run by Forestry England and set within the nation’s most beautiful woodlands. Forestry England says that by buying tickets and attending the events:

“…you are helping to grow and protect our nation’s forests for generations to come. We plant over 7 million trees in England each year and protect trees and wildlife habitats from climate threats. Everyone in England lives within a one-hour drive of one of the nation’s forests.”

The Delamere event will take place between Thursday, June 13 and Sunday, June 16, with the line-up including the iconic soul composer, guitarist, and producer Nile Rogers, Canada’s Bryan Adams, Sting and Becky Hill. You can find the full line-up on the Forest Live website. Tickets are available from the website for individual days or the full four days. If you’re travelling without a car, Delamere station is just a 10-minute walk away from the venue, or you can take a shuttle bus from Chester.

Chester is a vibrant city, and you rarely need to look far to find something to do, which is why so many students choose to come and study here. Accommodation is affordable as well, with shared student housing in Chester often including the utility bills.
