Evening tickets go on sale for Chester Zoo

Chester Zoo has started selling tickets for its new Afterglow evening events, which will be held in August.

The zoo’s conservationists say that many animals are at their most active just before dusk, so the event will be a rare opportunity to watch them during this time of day. Visitors will also get to experience activities, games and live entertainment and have access to food and drink.

The senior marketing manager of Chester Zoo, Anna Barker, said:

“Many will know what a special place the zoo is by day, but fewer have experienced it as the sun starts to set. This summer, across two special weeks in August, we’re giving people the opportunity to experience the zoo in a whole new way, and an entirely different light.”

She added that the event will be an exceptional opportunity for people to experience the zoo and its 37,000 animals as the sun sets, which is a time when the zoo would usually be closed to the public. The events will take place from 3pm to 8pm between the 13th and 25th of August.
With adult entry starting from £20, tickets are much cheaper than the usual day tickets. Members will even be able to attend for free, although they will need to book in advance.

The zoo is one of the many great attractions that draw people to study in Chester. You can also get no-fees student accommodation in Chester, with the utility bills often included in the rent.
