The University of Chester has been placed in the top fifth of universities in the categories of Graduate Start-Ups, Working with Business and CPD (Continuing Professional Development) and Research Partnerships.
This is according to the results of this year’s Knowledge Exchange Framework (KEF). The KEF is conducted to gather information for the public about how universities in England connect with the economy and society on local, national and international levels. It considers both the sort of knowledge-exchange activities and the university type when assessing how well they collaborate with third parties and deliver benefits for society and the economy.
In addition to the results in the top 20%, the university scored at or above average for all of the remaining seven perspectives, reflecting how well the university collaborates with the third and public sectors in many ways.
The University of Chester’s pro-vice chancellor for innovation and research, Professor Paul Bissell, said about the results:
“We are proud of the range and calibre of knowledge exchange and partnership working at the University of Chester which is delivering real positive impact to the communities and region around us. Our KEF4 results are excellent and we look forward to continuing to build on these achievements.”
With the University of Chester continuing to excel in various studies, it’s little surprise that many choose to come and study here. If you’re one of these and in need of off-campus accommodation, Bed Student Rentals has student accommodation in Hoole and the Garden Quarter, so check out our current listings.
