A graduate from the University of Chester has received acclaim after showcasing her latest fashion collection at a runway show.
At the show with over 200 guests at Liverpool’s renowned Walker Art Gallery, Alexandra Novacki revealed the 2024 Couture Runway collection, the highly awaited latest collection from her brand.
Many notable people attended the event, including brand directors, actors, fellow designers and journalists. The event received praise, and also served to showcase artistic talent with live performances from pianist Bobby Locke and artist Elle Graham.
Novacki said she was lost for words at the show’s response, commenting:
“…after spending so long building the collection away from the public eye, I exposed a piece of my heart in this collection, and I can feel that the audience felt that. Seeing people so emotional with fashion is what I aim to do. Runway should be personal.”
Novacki graduated from the University of Chester last year, debuting her Furious Creatures haute couture collection at Chester Cathedral. She has worked with celebrities in designing bespoke garments and created costumes for the Cannes Film Festival. She was also nominated at the 2022 Northern Fashion Week for the Emerging British Womenswear Designer title, and her work has been covered in various magazines.
The event exemplifies how graduates from the University of Chester can succeed after their studies. If you’re still studying, and looking for new accommodation, you can find off-campus student accommodation in Hoole and the Garden Quarter, sometimes with no upfront deposits or fees.
