Plans to open a rooftop venue on the Pepper Street multi-storey car park in Chester city centre have been unveiled.
The Rooftop Social Club will have fully heated cabanas as well as a retractable roof to make it suitable for all weather conditions. When it opens in October, around 300 guests will be accommodated in the fully accessible layout. Four independent traders of Chester-based street food will provide the refreshments, while the people behind the Liquor & Co cocktail bar are working on a menu for drinks. Activities like curling, cornhole and pétanque will also take place at the venue. The venue will be available for private hire, but seasonal events are also planned, such as artisan markets, yoga sessions and cinema evenings in the open air.
Experienced hospitality operator iKO Projects is making the venue a reality. Its director, Ian Gordon, said the company was delighted to be building this new exciting venue for Chester, adding:
“Our goal is to create a space where everyone feels welcome, whether you’re here for a quick bite, a celebratory event or a relaxing day out with the family. We can’t wait to open our doors and start welcoming guests this autumn.”
The new Rooftop Social Club promises to add a new unique venue to Chester’s already impressive hospitality scene. If you’re studying here but in need of shared student housing in Chester, you can find a range of options in places like the Garden Quarter and Hoole, close to the main university campuses.
